UNTO US, A CHILD IS BORN
The Prophecy:
¶ “All of those who have lived and do live in the dark and daunting shadows of this present evil world have seen a Great Light. Upon all those who wander about lost in the land of the shifting shadows of lies, fear, hopelessness, violence, deception, and death, a Great Light has shined!…. For unto us, a Child is born, a virgin, overshadowed by the Spirit of the Most-High (Lk. 1:35) shall conceive, and bear a Son whose Name shall be called Immanuel, which means, God with Us! {Isaiah 7:14}. Yes, unto us a Son has been given; The Son of Man, the Son of David, the Son of God, upon whose Shoulders the final government of this earth shall rest. His Name? Why His Name is Miraculous Wonder, Counsellor, Almighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, Immanuel, and yes, Jesus Christ our returning King. And of the increase, the prosperity, and peace of His final, eternal government there shall be no borders, no limits, and no end, for He shall establish His Millennial Kingdom upon the Set Throne of David. Yes, by His own might, power, and zeal, He will order and establish It with judgment, justice, and peace, over which He Himself shall rule, and reign forever and ever.” {Isaiah 9:2,6,7 wcv}
¶ I find it quite amazing that Isaiah, whose name means The Lord is Savior, laid all this out in prophecy some 700 years before it came to pass in the little town of Bethlehem when a Great Light shined down from the heavens upon an obscure stable on the outskirts of that little town; “As a young girl named Mary brought forth her Firstborn Son, wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger, for there was no room for them in the Inn. Now there were in the hills round about this little stable on the outskirts of Bethlehem shepherds abiding o’er hill and dale, in field upon rolling field, keeping watch over their flocks by night when lo and angel of the Lord came upon them and the Glory of the Lord overwhelmed them, descending all about them from the heavens above, softly illuminating with a golden glory the hills around Bethlehem, suspending these shepherds in time with great wonder and intense fear until this angel of the Lord said unto them, ‘There is nothing here to fear, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy for all the people of the earth! For unto you this night in the City of David, a Savior is born; Christ the Lord. And let this be a sign to you: you will find the Babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. Then suddenly, above these shepherds already stricken with awe and bound as with a heavenly spell, the night sky filled with myriads of heavenly hosts praising God and singing, ‘Glory to God in the highest, Good Will toward men’.”{Luke 2:7-14, wcv}
¶ What a glorious, glorious night that must have been. You see, this very same One is also known as the Word of God, Who “In the beginning created the heavens and the earth.”{Genesis 1:1} …. He is also the very same One that said, “Let there be Light” in Genesis 1:3. This is none other than the One that John speaks of in his Gospel, in chapter 1, verses 1-5, when he says, “In the beginning was the WORD. The WORD was with God and the WORD was God. He has been, from all eternity, with God. All things were made by Him and without Him, nothing came into existence. In Him was Life and that Life was, and is to this day, the Light of Mankind. This Light shined in the darkness, and the darkness could not overpower it. The darkness had to flee!” {John 1:1-5 wcv} Understand, this is the One who created the heavens and the earth and is the very same One, Who, on that glorious night, 2000 years ago, gave up His deity to be born of a virgin, birthed in a stable, and laid in a manger. He is the very One Who laid down His Deity to be born of a virgin and grow from a boy to a man in Wisdom and stature while working with His earthly father, Joseph, as a carpenter and a feller of timber until the age of 30 when He stepped out into His ministry, rounded up twelve disciples, and in three and one-half years turned the world upside-down. The Very ONE that the present, evil world of today still mocks, disdains, and hates. Who, but Almighty God could think of a scenario such as this? He became Immanuel, God With Us, this Jesus of Nazareth; Almighty God was born of a virgin, birthed in a stable, laid in a manger, grew in Wisdom and stature, and for 33 years dwelt amongst us in the body of a man. Ponder that kind of condescending Love! The Creator of the Heavens and the Earth came through a virgin birth from His throne in heaven to a stable on earth. From a manger in a stable, His well-planned journey took Him to a cruel Roman Crucifixion on a terrifying, rugged CROSS, then from that CROSS to a tomb that could not hold Him. After three days of an unsettling stillness in a glorious Resurrection of blinding Light and Power unimaginable, He emerged from that tomb with the Keys of Death and Hell. He conquered hell, defeated death, judged sin, damned the Evil One, and set the captives free. He Himself said, “It’s finished.” {John 19:30} He was then not only seen but walked amongst, dined with, and fellowshipped with some 500 souls for forty days before ascending, right before the Apostles’ eyes into the heavens from which He came, where He is to this day seated at the Right Hand of the Father patiently waiting for His Father’s command, “It’s Time!”. This Jesus, Who by the shedding of His Blood on an Old Rugged Cross saved our souls, went on to, on the Day of Pentecost, set the Kingdom of God within the heart of men by sending His Spirit to dwell within us, saying to all those in whom He does abide and who abide in Him, “Oh, by The Way, call Me Brother!”
¶ “Bearing all this in mind, brothers and sisters in Christ, partakers of the heavenly calling, (this Christmas) keep close to your heart the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus.” {Heb. 3:1 wcv} For the Child Who was born of a virgin, walked amongst us as the Perfect Man, Immanuel, our Kinsman Redeemer, Who was crucified, died, rose from the dead, and ascended to the Right Hand of the Father, is also the Master, Owner, and Builder of our house. “And we are made fellow partners with Him only if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end.” {Heb.3:14} However, in the midst of all this, never fail to remember, “We do not have a High Priest who does not understand our trials, tribulations, doubts, weaknesses, stumbling’s, and failings, for He was in every way tempted and tried, just as we are, yet, He did not fall for any of it. He did not sin.” {Heb. 4:15} You see, we have a High Priest, a Mediator between us and the Father, a Friend that sticks closer than a brother, Who understands us and delights in us. {Psalm 21} This mighty, all-powerful Friend Who delights in us took all of our sins upon Himself, and was, with our sin and in our stead, nailed to a CROSS, and on our behalf defeated death, hell, and the grave, then said to us, “In Me, you are a New Creature “IF” you will but come and Covenant with Me!” Is JESUS not the Greatest Gift of all? Is this not worth celebrating this Christmas?
The Age to Come!!!
¶ And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. {Revelation 21:1} And I John saw the holy city, the New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven. {:2} Glowing with the Glory of God. The LIGHT within this city was like unto a stone most precious, a jasper stone, A Ruby, as though the Light was shining through this fine cut gem. {:11 wcv} …while the City itself was of pure gold, like unto clear glass. {v.18 wcv} Having the Glory of God, the city had no need of the sun nor for the moon to shine down upon it, for the Glory of God did lighten it and the Light of the Lamb was its brilliance {:23 wcv}
¶ Look Up and you will see that this is The Very Same Light that glowed within the Babe that was birthed in a stable, laid in a manger, that grew in Wisdom and stature and walked amongst us 2000 years ago; IMMANUEL. Look Up and you will soon see that this is The Very Same Light, Who, in Glory unimaginable, is about to split the Eastern sky with the Armies of Heaven to reclaim all that is His and send to hell in its own handbasket all that ain’t. To the total dismay of many and from the great chagrin of those who hate the Light but love instead the dark and shifting shadows of the Lust of the Flesh, the Lust of the Eyes, and the Pride of the Life of this present evil world, a great groan will arise from the earth, filling the heavens above. For they are about to see the return of The Very One they mocked, belittled, and said did not exist. For the first time in their life, they are about to see. This Very Same Child Who was born of a Virgin Birth in a stable in Bethlehem 2000 years ago, the Boy from Nazareth, Who grew in Wisdom and stature from a Boy to a Man, The Very One Who, two thousand years ago, took twelve men and in three and one-half years turned the world upside down, The Very One who was cruxified on an Old Rugged Cross, died, was buried, and three days later rose from the dead is about to split the Eastern Sky with the Armies of Heaven and all its Heavenly Hosts. He will set foot upon the Mount of Olives cleaving it in two, then stride up the side of Mount Zion, command that sealed, ancient Eastern Gate to “swing wide” for His second victorious entry into Jerusalem where He will, by His own might, Power, and zeal, from upon the Ancient Set Throne of David, establish His Kingdom on Earth as we enter into the Age to Come when the Government of the entire Earth shall come to rest squarely upon His shoulders. “For unto us a child is born, unto us, a Son is given: The government shall rest upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Miraculous Wonder, Counsellor, All Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace, the Light of the World” (Isaiah 9:6, John 1:9, 8:12)
LOOK UP, for indeed, A GREAT LIGHT has shined!
